How long before  I’m fluent in Hindi?

• Becoming “fluent” is not the automatic result of completing X number of courses.  
  

In reality, fluency is a lifelong process. 
 

How can I expose myself to real-life Hindi outside of class?

• Take advantage of the many opportunities available Bay Area!              
  
• Watch TV!
  
• Listen to the radio, podcasts, or audio books!
  
• Read magazines, newspapers, web sites, and children’s  books!
  
• Go where Hindi  speakers go!
  

How can I immerse in the language ?
 

• Immersion happens when you live 24-7 in a Hindi -only environment, actively pursuing interactions in Hindi. By itself, in-class exposure will help to lay the foundation 
  

How can I succeed ?

• Study daily 
  
• Give concepts time to sink in by revisiting them over and over.
  
• Learning a language is like constructing a building or climbing a mountain.  You can’t get to the top without starting at the bottom and making steady (and sometimes slow) progress.
